Abstract:
The present invention pertains to: an emulsion composition containing a polyurethane resin and an acrylic resin, wherein the polyurethane resin has (a) a backbone derived from a polycarbonate polyol, (b) a backbone derived from an acidic group-containing polyol, (c) a backbone derived from a polyisocyanate compound, (e) a backbone derived from a chain terminator, and (f) a backbone derived from a chain extender, the (e) chain terminator includes (e-1) a compound having one acidic group and one hydroxyl group in one molecule, the (f) chain extender includes (f-1) a nitrogen-containing compound having a total of three or more amino groups and/or imino groups in one molecule, and the acrylic resin has a glass transition temperature of -10°C to 75°C; a metal surface treatment agent using the emulsion composition; a metal laminate using the emulsion composition; and a method for producing the emulsion composition. The emulsion composition can impart corrosion resistance to various metal parts, and thus contribute to the achievement of Goal 7 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), etc., from the viewpoint of greatly contributing to an improvement in energy efficiency, etc.
