Abstract:
The present application relates to encoding and decoding methods and systems for route origin authorization compression. The encoding method comprises: giving an authorization IP prefix set for an AS, and maintaining IP prefixes by using an IP prefix tree; splitting the IP prefix tree into a plurality of independent sub-tree blocks that do not intersect each other, each sub-tree block being uniquely determined according to the position of the root node thereof in the original prefix tree; encoding a path from the root node of the original prefix tree to the root node of a sub-tree block into an integer, which is used as the unique identifier of the sub-tree block; encoding all nodes included in the whole sub-tree block into a bitmap; and encoding route origin authorization information of the given AS into a plurality of identifier and bitmap tuples. The present application not only can achieve high security like mini ROA, but also can break through the extensibility bottleneck, thereby achieving secure and extensible compressed encoding for route origin authorization information.
