Abstract:
An encoding device (100) is provided with memory (162) and circuitry (160). The circuitry (160) uses the memory (162), and in cases in which, in inter-prediction processing of a target block, one type of processing is applied from among a first correction processing for correcting the luminance of a prediction image using correction values that have been predicted from the luminance values of already encoded blocks around the target block and a second correction processing for correcting a prediction image by applying, to the target block, motion vectors allocated to the already encoded blocks around the target block and overlapping the motion compensation (Yes in S110), the circuitry (160) generates a prediction image without applying the other processing (S107).
