Abstract:

The present invention, when encrypting data to be transmitted/received between a pair of communicatively connected apparatuses, keeps a plurality of encryption algorithms held ahead of time in a calling apparatus (101) and a called apparatus (102) that are communicatively connected with each other. The calling apparatus (101) and the called apparatus (102) acquire information pertaining to shared encryption algorithms by transmission/reception after establishing a secure session. Then, an encryption algorithm having highest encryption strength is selected, data is encrypted using the selected encryption algorithm, and the encrypted data is transmitted.
