Abstract:
An end face dressing apparatus for honeycomb molding that realizes not only effectively,
efficiently flattening of an end face of honeycomb molding but also, even after
drying of sealant paste, maintaining of the flatness of the end face of honeycomb
molding. There is provided an end face dressing apparatus for honeycomb molding
designed to flatten an end face of sealed-cell honeycomb molding wherein a multiplicity
of cells are disposed in parallel relationship with cell walls interposed therebetween
along the longitudinal direction thereof and wherein either end portion of the
cells is sealed by a sealant paste, characterized in that the apparatus is equipped
with a plate arranged in parallel to the end face of sealed-cell honeycomb molding
so as to be opposite thereto and equipped with first plate moving means capable
of moving the plate while maintaining the state of being parallel to the end face
and opposite thereto and is so built that the plate is moved by the first plate moving
means until being pressed against the end face of sealed-cell honeycomb molding.
