Abstract:
An endodontic instrument (40, 60, 80) for root canal treatment is provided having a working portion (42, 62, 82) manipulated by a handle (46, 66, 86) and a connection assembly (54, 61, 81) for attachment with an electronic apex locator. The connection assembly (54, 61, 81) allows the electronic apex locator to be connected to the instrument (40, 60, 80) at or through the coronal end of the handle (46, 66, 86). Preferably, the connection assembly includes a male/female assembly (61, 81) located within or on the surface the file handle (66, 86).
