Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to achieve two modes of illumination for fluorescence observation using a simple structure. Provided is an endoscope light source device (1) that is provided with: first and second solid state light sources (11, 12) for emitting first and second light, respectively; a third solid state light source (13) for emitting third light that is combined with the first and second light to generate white light; optical members (21, 22) for combining the first, second, and third light; an optical filter (4) that is provided to be removably inserted in an optical path of the combined light of the first, second and third light; and a control unit (5). The control unit (5) turns on the first and second solid state light sources (11, 12) and turns on, in a weak state, the third solid state light source (13) in a first excitation light illumination mode, and turns on the first solid state light source (11), turns off the second solid state light source (12), and turns on, in a weak state, the third light solid state source (13) in a second excitation light illumination mode.
