Abstract:
In the present invention, the hardness variation (Hmax-Hbase) of a thick flexible tube part 13 and the hardness variation (HAmax-HAbase) of a thin flexible tube part 13A are set so that the ratio of each with respect to a base hardness is constant, the hardness variation increases as the flexible tube part increases in thickness, and the hardness variation of an endoscope in which the flexible tube part is relatively thin also decreases. Through this configuration, hardness does not become inadequate in an endoscope in which the flexible tube part is thick, and harness does not become excessive in an endoscope in which the flexible tube part is thin, and the optimal insertion operation for the thickness of the flexible tube is possible.
