Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide an endoscope system capable of obtaining a high-resolution endoscopic image without implementing demosaic processing, as necessary. An endoscope system 10 is provided with: a light source unit 20 which emits illuminating light; an image sensor 48 which has a color filter in one color, from among color filters in a plurality of colors, for each pixel, and which uses the illuminating light to capture an image of a subject; a demosaic processing unit 83 which subjects RAW images in each color corresponding to the color filters in each color to demosaic processing; and a switching unit 85 which uses spectral information of the illuminating light to switch between whether or not to implement the demosaic processing.
