Abstract:
An endoscope for providing a braking force for reliably maintaining a curved condition of a curved part necessitating a strong bending force in order to be curved, the endoscope being provided with: an adjusting member that can freely slide in an axial direction of a first bearing member and can adjust an interval where a rotation pressing member, a slide pressing member, and a friction member are disposed, the adjusting member being disposed on an outer side surface of a support plate; and a plurality of positioning members for separating the adjusting member from the support plate by changing a contact condition with the adjusting member and for adjusting the braking force against a cylindrical member of the friction member, the positioning members being disposed on the support plate by screwing.
