Abstract:
An endoscope 1 is provided with: a distal-end cover 25 provided to the distal end of an insertion part 2; a retaining member 26 for retaining an equipped element, the distal-end cover being mounted to the retaining member 26; a cylindrical member 23 inserted in the distal-end cover 25 and the retaining member 26; an elastic member 41 for contacting an external peripheral part of the cylindrical member 23 and fixing the cylindrical member 23 to the distal-end cover 25 and the retaining member 26; first accommodating parts 42, 44 for accommodating the elastic member 41, the first accommodating parts 42, 44 being formed in at least the surface of the retaining member 26; and second accommodating parts 43, 45 for accommodating the elastic member 41, which separates from a groove part 55 of the cylindrical member 23, contacts the external peripheral part of the cylindrical member 23, and is bent by elastic deformation during insertion and removal of the cylindrical member 23, the second accommodating parts 43, 45 being in communication with the first accommodating parts 42, 44.
