Abstract:
This endoscopic apparatus has: a light-emitting unit for emitting, as illumination light, first narrow-band light and second narrow-band light; an imaging unit for imaging a subject having a region including hemoglobin irradiated with the illumination light and outputs an imaging signal; an image processing unit which performs predetermined image processing on at least one image among a first image obtained by imaging the subject irradiated with the first narrow-band light and a second image obtained by imaging the subject irradiated with the second narrow-band light and which outputs a processed result; an observation image generation unit for generating an observation image by using first and second images obtained as the processed result of the predetermined image processing; and a control unit which acquires signal intensity information related to the signal intensity of the imaging signal output from the imaging unit in response to the irradiation of the first narrow-band light, on the basis of a current operation state of a light source emitting the first narrow-band light, and which performs a control to constantly maintain the brightness ratio of the first and second images used for generating the observation image, on the basis of the signal intensity information.
