Abstract:

This endoscopic treatment instrument comprises: a tubular insertion section; a stopper having a through hole and provided at the distal end of the insertion section; an operation wire inserted through the insertion section so as to be capable of advancing and retracting; a knife section provided at the distal end of the operation wire, and inserted through the through hole; and a regulating member provided proximal to the stopper and connecting the knife section and the operation wire. The stopper has an inner surface that makes area contact with a part of the regulating member. When the regulating member is pressed against the stopper, the knife section is locked so as not to rotate with respect to the insertion section, and the regulating member and the stopper make area contact with each other so that a non-contact region is formed in at least a portion in the direction around the axis of the insertion section and that the non-contact region extends in the axial direction of the insertion section in a region provided with the inner surface.
