In a magnetic separation device (10), each magnetic separation unit (11) is set so that the direction of raw water flow inside the separation tank (22) and the direction of rotation of the magnetic drum (24) are the same. That is to say, in the left magnetic separation unit (11), a raw water supply path (21) is connected on the left side of a separation tank (22), the raw water flows from the left side to the right side inside the separation tank (22), and the treated water flows out of a treated water-discharging path (33). A magnetic drum (24) is configured to rotate in the counterclockwise direction. In the right magnetic separation unit (11), a raw water supply path (21) is connected on the right side of a separation tank (22), the raw water flows from the right side to the left side inside the separation tank (22), and the treated water flows out of the treated water-discharging path (33). A magnetic drum (24) is configured to rotate in the clockwise direction.
