Abstract:
This energy absorption body (10) comprises a plate-like fiber structure (11) formed by stacking a plurality of weft yarn layers having weft yarns (13) and a plurality of warp yarn layers having warp yarns (14) interlaced through the warp yarns (13). When the direction in which the weft yarn layers and the warp yarn layers are stacked is defined as lamination direction, the fiber structure (11) is provided with a first planar section (16) and a second planar section (17) where the weft yarn layers and the warp yarn layers are bound by binding threads in the lamination direction. The fiber structure (11) is provided with a second curved section (20) that has an overlap portion in which ends (11a, 11b) of the fiber structure (11) overlap each other in the lamination direction.
