Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide an engine control system capable of responding to fluctuations in the amount of heat generated by a fuel gas, and to provide an engine equipped with this engine control system, a ship equipped with this engine, and an engine control method. The engine control system (1) is equipped with a fuel gas injection valve (40) that injects fuel into an engine (10) operated with fuel gas, a calorimeter (50) that measures the amount of heat generated by the fuel gas, and a control unit (20) that controls the fuel gas injection valve (40). The control unit (20) predicts an arrival time, which is the time at which the fuel gas having the measured value for the heat generation amount measured by the calorimeter (50) arrives at the engine (10), and the control unit controls the fuel gas injection valve (40) in accordance with the measured value for the heat generation amount and the arrival time.
