Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide an engine device that is provided with an exhaust gas purification device and that can be efficiently disposed within an engine mounting space. An engine (1) is provided with an exhaust gas purification device (2) for processing exhaust gas. The exhaust gas purification device (2) is disposed on the top side of the engine (1). The configuration is such that an exhaust manifold (7) installation unit on the engine (1) side is provided with an exhaust diaphragm device (65). The exhaust diaphragm device (65) is disposed at an incline with respect to the right side surface of the engine (1) in plan view, and a gap (8a) is formed between the right side surface of a head cover (8) and the inner side surface of the exhaust diaphragm device (65).
