Abstract:
This engine system (1) comprises: an ammonia engine (2); a reformer (13) that has a reforming catalyst (13b) that decomposes ammonia gas into hydrogen, and reforms the ammonia gas to produce a hydrogen-containing reformed gas; and a control unit (32). The control unit (32) has: purge control parts (36, 36A, 36B) that perform controlling to close a reforming injector (16) and controlling to open a reforming throttle valve (15) after an ignition switch (30) provides an instruction to stop the ammonia engine (2); and engine stop control parts (37, 37A, 37B) that perform controlling to close a main injector (5) after the ignition switch (30) provides an instruction to stop the ammonia engine (2).
