Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a silica sol which, as the dispersoid, contains silica particles that include an epoxy group or an epoxy group-containing organic group and an alkoxy group, and that is stably dispersed in an organic solvent; and a cured body-forming composition or epoxy cured body containing these silica sols. [Solution] This silica sol contains, as the dispersoid, silica particles that include an epoxy group or an epoxy group-containing organic group (R2) and an alkoxy group (OR1), and that have a 5-100nm average primary particle diameter measured with nitrogen adsorption (the BET method), contains organic matter as the dispersion medium, and also contains a basic substance, wherein, when the average particle diameter of the silica particles measured with dynamic light scattering (DLS) is 5-200 nm, the ratio of (average particle diameter with DLS) / (average primary particle diameter with BET) is 1.05-2.00, the epoxy group or epoxy group-containing organic group (R2) and the alkoxy group (OR1) have a molar ratio (R2)/(OR1) of 0.1-2.0.
