Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a low-cost exhaust gas treatment system which solves the problems of conventional HC-SCR systems and achieves a high NOx removal rate especially at low temperatures. A hydrocarbon selective catalytic reduction (HC-SCR) system which is characterized by adding H2 together with a hydrocarbon to a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC). In other words, an exhaust gas purification method which is characterized by removing NOx from an exhaust gas by adding H2 together with a hydrocarbon to a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) in a hydrocarbon selective catalytic reduction (HC-SCR) system.
