Abstract:
A safe-driving assistance device according to an embodiment comprises a storage unit, a position acquisition unit, a detection range acquisition unit, a detection unit, and an output unit. The storage unit stores detection range information which shows the correspondence between the position of a railroad vehicle and a detection range in which information related to an obstacle located in the traveling direction of the railroad vehicle is to be detected. The position acquisition unit acquires the current position of the railroad vehicle. The detection range acquisition unit acquires a detection range corresponding to the current position on the basis of the current position acquired by the position acquisition unit and the detection range information stored in the storage unit. The detection unit detects information related to the obstacle from the detection range acquired by the detection range acquisition unit. The output unit outputs the result of detection by the detection unit.
