Abstract:
This external shape testing device tests a honeycomb structure having a cell structure. The external shape testing device is provided with: a light source for applying laser light to an end surface of the honeycomb structure; and a displacement sensor having a light receiving section which receives laser light reflected by the end surface and outputs an electric signal corresponding to the strength of the laser light. The external shape testing device measures the parallelism of the end surface without contact with the honeycomb structure.
