The floor suction tool is equipped with a main body case (14) wherein the suction port (17) is open from the bottom surface to at least a portion of the front surface, and a cover (23) that closes the front portion of the suction port (17) of the main body case (14). The cover (23) is formed to rotate freely between a lower rotation position that closes the front portion of the suction port (17) and an upper rotation position that opens the front portion of the suction port (17), and is configured to rotate from the lower rotation position to the upper rotation position when the cover (23) contacts a wall surface, etc. The upper part of the cover (23) is formed so that the cross section substantially forms an arc. A bulging part (25) that is the part that contacts wall surfaces, etc. is formed on the lower part of the arc-shaped portion to protrude forward across substantially the entire width of the cover (23) in the width direction. At a position below the bulging part (25), a slanted surface (27) is formed on a plane that slopes down and back towards the main body case. Below the slanted surface (27), an extension (28) that is substantially vertical to the floor surface is formed across substantially the entire width of the cover (23) in the width direction.
