Abstract:
The present invention provides an external terminal and a digital broadcast receiver which are designed to ensure that broadcast-managed applications acquired by a plurality of external terminals do not respectively request separate broadcast channels from one digital broadcast receiver. An external terminal (4) is capable of executing terminal cooperation with a digital broadcast receiver (3) capable of receiving a digital broadcast program. The external terminal (4) is provided with a transmission/reception unit (47) for transmitting a cooperation request to the digital broadcast receiver (3) and receiving a cooperation response, and a cooperation control unit (48) for determining, on the basis of the cooperation response, the digital broadcast receiver (3) with which cooperation is possible and cooperating with the determined digital broadcast receiver (3).
