Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are a facial recognition method and apparatus based on a visual template and a pyramid strategy. The method comprises: acquiring image data within a preset range in front of a gate, identifying boundary information of persons and objects in the image data, and extracting an image feature vector on the basis of the boundary information; acquiring a preset visual template library, and sequentially matching the image feature vector with image templates in the visual template library on the basis of a pyramid strategy, so as to find a target image template; and determining, according to the target image template, person identity information corresponding to the image feature vector. In the present invention, a person identity can be determined by means of image template-based facial recognition, and recognition can also be quickly realized, such that recognition efficiency is improved, and efficient collection of information is facilitated.
