Abstract:
This far infrared optical system comprises, in order from the object side, a first lens having a meniscus shape that is convex at the object side, and a second lens of positive power having a convex shape at the image side. The first lens is made of polyethylene and the second lens is made of silicon, satisfying the conditional expression: 0 < |FL/f1| < 0.2 (FL: focal length of the entire system, f1: focal length of first lens).
