Abstract:
The female terminal 10 disclosed in the present specification is provided with: a cylindrical base part 24 extending in the longitudinal direction; a plurality of elastic contact pieces 25 projecting forwards from the front end of the base part 24, the elastic contact pieces 25 provided so as to be capable of elastically displacing in the radial direction of the base part 24; a spring 40 in contact with the plurality of elastic contact pieces 25 from the direction of blocking the elastic deformation of the plurality of elastic contact pieces 25, the spring 40 being capable of elastically displacing in the direction of elastic displacement of the elastic contact pieces 25; and a plating applied to the plurality of elastic contact pieces 25. The elastic contact pieces 25 have a region in which plating is applied and a region S in which the substrate of the elastic contact pieces 25 is exposed. The position of a contact part at which the elastic contact pieces 25 and the spring 40 are in contact is within the region S in which the substrate is exposed.
