Abstract:
A file format conversion server converts electric data of an arbitrary file format into an electric file of another file format. The file format conversion server includes: a format selection processing unit for storing correspondence relationship between various mobile terminal devices and file formats which can be processed by the terminal devices; a communication control unit for receiving an electronic file from the terminal device which can process an electronic file of at least one file format and information on the terminal type of the terminal device; a format selection processing unit for referencing the correspondence relationship stored in the format selection processing unit and selecting a file format corresponding to the terminal type of the terminal device; a file conversion processing unit for converting the electronic file received by the communication control unit into an electronic file of the file format selected by the format selection processing unit; and a communication control unit for transmitting the electronic file which has been subjected to the file format conversion, to the terminal device.
