Abstract:

A filter for an air bag gas producer, easy to produce, having sufficient filter performance and cooling performance, having less damage when a gas producer is activated, and having high reliability. The filter for an air bag gas producer has a first layer where the cross-sectional area of a helically wound wire material is in the range of 0.03 to 0.8 mm² and pitch angles of wire materials vertically superposed on each other in the radial direction are symmetrical to each other and has a second layer present outside in the radial direction of the first layer and formed so as to have finer filtration granularity by using a wire material thinner than the wire material forming the first layer.
