Abstract:
A filter apparatus is a filter apparatus that can be placed outside a washing machine and connected to a drain device of the washing machine, the filter apparatus comprising: a filter case that has a case inlet and a case outlet; a filter that may be detachably mounted on the filter case and is used to filter foreign substances less than 5 mm in size; a filter cleaning device that is configured to clean the surface of the filter; and a control unit that is configured to control the filter cleaning device to clean the surface of the filter.
