Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a filter assembly (10) for filtering a fluid medium in a vehicle, comprising a filter housing (12) having a filter assembly inlet (72) for receiving fluid medium, a filter assembly outlet (70) for filtered fluid medium, a first filter housing part (20) connectable to a second filter housing part (42) to form a closed filter assembly compartment, said first filter housing part having an interior carrier structure (25) for detachable connecting a disposable filter (21) to the first filter housing part, said first filter housing part defining a filter enclosure portion (28) with a longitudinal end surface (29), said disposable filter forming a sleeve about a center longitudinal axis (XA) and extending longitudinally between a first end surface (23) and a second end surface (24), and wherein the filter assembly further comprises a pre-tensioned lever arrangement (50) configured for ensuring correct mounting of the first filter housing part, containing the disposable filter, with the second filter housing part, said pre-tensioned lever arrangement (50) being pivotably arranged on the second filter housing part at a pivot point (58), and having a first elongated part (53) and a second elongated part (55), wherein the pre-tensioned lever arrangement comprises: a stopper portion (54) extending from the first elongated part (53) and adapted to move between an initial assembly preventing position (200), where the stopper portion is positioned in-between the longitudinal end surface (29) of the filter enclosure portion and the second filter housing, and an assembly position (300), where the filter enclosure portion can be connected to the second filter housing part so as to form the closed filter assembly compartment; and a filter contacting portion (56) extending from the second elongated part (55) and adapted to interact with the filter, such that a contact from a filter against the filter contacting portion causes the pre-tensioned lever arrangement to pivot about the pivot point to effect a displacement of the stopper portion from the initial assembly preventing position to the assembly position.
