Abstract:
This filter device, which can be disposed on the outside of a washing machine and can be connected to a drainage device of the washing machine, comprises: a filter case; a filter removably mounted in the filter case; a filtering path formed in the filter case so that water passes through the filter while the filter is mounted in the filter case; a bypass path formed in the filter case so that water bypasses the filter while the filter is mounted in the filter case; at least one sensor for acquiring information related to the state of the filter; an opening/closing device for opening/closing the bypass path in order to guide, to the filtering path or the bypass path, the water flowing into the filter case from the drainage device; and a control unit for controlling the opening/closing device on the basis of the acquired information related to the state of the filter.
