Abstract:

The present invention relates to the technical field of fingerprint authentication. Provided are a fingerprint authentication method and system, and a terminal supporting fingerprint authentication. The fingerprint authentication method comprises the following steps: a fingerprint reception step: receiving fingerprint information input by a user; and a fingerprint template matching step: selecting a fingerprint template having a highest use frequency from fingerprint templates on which matching has not been performed, and performing matching with the received fingerprint information by using the fingerprint template; when the matching succeeds, passing the authentication, and if the matching does to succeed, repeating the step. In the present invention, operation habits of users are learned and counted, the matching sequence of fingerprint templates is adjusted, and the matching is performed by directly using a fingerprint template having a highest possible matching success rate, and accordingly the fingerprint recognition speed can be effectively increased, and better use experience can be brought to users.
