Abstract:
Disclosed by the present application are a fingerprint identification apparatus, a method for detecting foreign matter on a surface thereof, and an electronic device, the method comprising: obtaining a first capacitance value of a fingerprint identification apparatus in a first scanning mode; obtaining a second capacitance value of the fingerprint identification apparatus in a second scanning mode; detecting and determining that the difference between the second capacitance value and the first capacitance value is larger than a preset difference threshold, and recognizing that foreign matter is present on the surface of the fingerprint identification apparatus. The described method may effectively detect the presence of foreign matter on the surface of the fingerprint identification apparatus, and protect the fingerprint identification apparatus so as to prevent the fingerprint identification apparatus from being illegally jailbroken.
