Abstract:
The present application discloses a firmware update method for an embedded device, an embedded device, a development end device, and a firmware update system for an embedded device. When an update triggering module detects a triggering event for updating firmware of the embedded device, a data receiving module obtains transmission data from a source device, and writes update data for firmware update of the embedded device among the transmission data into a partition which stores the transmission data. A data processing module processes the received update data according to update mode information in the transmission data, to obtain new firmware data, and applies the new firmware data from a partition, which stores the new firmware data, during the running of a bootloader, so as to complete the firmware update. According to the present application, more available memory spaces can be provided for the data processing module, excessive data consumption and time consumption are avoided, the present application can be deployed on devices having limited software and hardware resources, the efficiency of firmware update is improved, and better compatibility is achieved.
