Abstract:
Provided is a flashtube for light irradiation treatment and prevention for treating or preventing a disease by irradiating a particular site in the body, the flashtube comprising a glass bulb and filling gas that is enclosed inside the glass bulb. The filling gas is composed of mixed gas of at least neon gas and xenon gas and comprises the xenon gas in a mix ratio of 0.23 mol% or more and 1.21 mol% or less with respect to 100 mol% of the mixed gas. Accordingly, a flashtube for light irradiation treatment and prevention and a light irradiation treatment and prevention device can be achieved with which light energy of a wavelength of 600 nm or more and 700 nm or less that is required for light irradiation treatment and prevention can be obtained without raising lighting voltage.
