Title:
FLAVIN-BOUND GLUCOSE DEHYDROGENASE HAVING IMPROVED SUBSTRATE SPECIFICITY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/065770
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a flavin-bound glucose dehydrogenase having high substrate specificity for d-glucose and reduced reactivity with d-xylose and/or maltose. More specifically, provided is a flavin-bound glucose dehydrogenase wherein at least one amino acid residue is substituted at a position corresponding to position 78, 79, 81, 121, 122, 123, 569, or 612 of flavin-bound glucose dehydrogenase derived from the genus Mucor. According to the present invention, even when large amounts of enzyme are loaded, as with a glucose sensor, for example, an impact from the presence of d-xylose and/or maltose is less likely, and it is possible to accurately determine the amount of d-glucose.
