Abstract:
A fluorescence detection method comprises a step for irradiating an object to be measured with laser light modulated at a predetermined frequency, a step for receiving fluorescence generated by the object to be measured and outputting a plurality of pulsed fluorescence signals, a step for setting the reference timing in each cycle corresponding to the frequency, a step for acquiring the generation time required until each of the pulsed fluorescence signals is outputted on the basis of the reference timing, a step for generating a cumulative fluorescence signal indicating the relationship between the generation frequency and the generation time of the pulsed fluorescence signal, and a step for, using a signal corresponding to the modulation of the laser light as a reference signal, finding the phase difference between the reference signal and the cumulative fluorescence signal, and a step for finding the fluorescence relaxation time of the fluorescence of the object to be measured using the phase difference.
