Title:
FLUORESCENT PROTEIN
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/037674
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a fluorescent protein having a rapid light switching speed and high light stability, the fluorescent protein changing from nonfluorescent to fluorescent upon photoirradiation for fluorescence excitation and changing from fluorescent to nonfluorescent upon photoirradiation of a specific wavelength that does not produce fluorescence excitation. Relating to a fluorescent protein shown by the following (a) or (b). (a) A protein having the amino acid sequence listed in SEQ ID NO: 1. (b) A protein having an amino acid sequence in which from one to several amino acids have been deleted, substituted and/or added in the amino acid sequence listed in SEQ ID NO: 1, the protein being capable of functioning as a fluorescent protein that changes from nonfluorescent to fluorescent upon photoirradiation for fluorescence excitation and changes from fluorescent to nonfluorescent upon photoirradiation of a specific wavelength that does not produce fluorescence excitation.
