Abstract:

The present invention relates to a fluorophosphate glass which contains P, F and O as essential components, contains Cu2+ in an amount of, in cation %, 5 to 14%, has a ((content of Ca2+)+(content of Ba2+))/ΣR2+ value (wherein ΣR2+ represents the total amount of Ba2+, Sr2+, Ca2+ and Mg2+) of 0.75 to 1.0 and a (content of Li+)/ΣR'+ value (wherein ΣR'+ represents the total amount of Li+ and Na+) of 0.75 to 1.0 (provided that 1.0 is excluded), and has a Young's modulus of 70 GPa or more.
