Embodiments of the present application provide a foldable support member and a display device. The foldable support member has a bent state and a flattened state. The foldable support member comprises: a rotating shaft component, comprising a fixed shaft extending and formed along a first direction and a rotating assembly rotatably connected to the fixed shaft; and a support plate, comprising a connecting portion and a flattening portion which are connected to each other, the connecting portion being fixed to the fixed shaft, and the flattening portion being bendable around the fixed shaft with respect to the connecting portion. The flattening portion is slidably connected to the rotating assembly along the circumferential direction of the fixed shaft, so that the flattening portion is capable of sliding in the circumferential direction of the rotating assembly when the foldable support member switches between the bent state and the flattened state. The foldable support member of the embodiments of the present application can reduce the amount of deformation when a support plate is bent, so as to reduce the amount of deformation during bending of an element to be supported and prolong the service life of the element to be supported.
