Abstract:
Provided are: a forged aluminum alloy material which has excellent corrosion resistance and is capable of achieving high strength and high toughness even if reduced in the thickness; and a method for producing this forged aluminum alloy material. A forged aluminum alloy material which contains 0.70-1.50% by mass of Mg, 0.80-1.30% by mass of Si, 0.30-0.90% by mass of Cu, 0.10-0.40% by mass of Fe and 0.005-0.15% by mass of Ti, and additionally contains one or more elements selected from among 0.10-0.60% by mass of Mn, 0.10-0.45% by mass of Cr and 0.05-0.30% by mass of Zr, with the balance made up of Al and unavoidable impurities. This forged aluminum alloy material is characterized in that the major axis of the Q phase in a portion where the maximum stress is generated is 50-500 nm.
