To reduce the number of service components used in a parking brake unit without causing the wheelbase to increase, a forklift is provided with a main input shaft (31) rotatably driven by a hydraulic motor (20), a differential input shaft (32) caused to rotate by the rotation of the main input shaft (31), and a differential mechanism (33) configured between the differential input shaft (32) and a front axle (FA), the forklift being propelled by the transmission of power from the hydraulic motor (20) to the front axle (FA) through the main input shaft (31), the differential input shaft (32), and the differential mechanism (33), wherein an idle shaft (35) is installed so as to be parallel to the differential input shaft (32), a mechanism for transmitting power by the meshing of gears (34, 35a) is interposed between the differential input shaft (32) and the idle shaft (35), and a parking brake unit (50) is configured on the idle shaft (35).
