Abstract:
The present invention obtains a plate having high outer-edge quality and flatness at low cost. A form (4) and an upper-lower pair of dies consisting of a first die (2) having a flat pressing surface and a second die (3) having a flat pressing surface that faces said pressing surface are used to press-form a workpiece (5) so as to form the same into a plate product (50) having high flatness. The form (4) has a closed inner wall (41) that surrounds the outer edge of the to-be-formed plate product (50), and a thickness t in a direction perpendicular to the pair of dies (2, 3) equal to the thickness of the to-be-formed plate product (50). The inner side of the inner wall (41) of the form has a breadth that is greater than the outer edge (51) of the plate product (50) by an amount corresponding to a portion α to be removed by trimming to the dimension of the to-be-formed plate product.
