Title:
FORWARD-FLYBACK INSULATED SWITCHING POWER SUPPLY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/181544
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention mitigates a breakdown voltage characteristic of switching elements in a forward-flyback insulated switching power supply. A forward-flyback insulated switching power supply having: a transformer; a switching unit that has a first group of switching elements and a second group of switching elements, which are respectively controlled to be on/off in an opposing fashion such that a primary coil is conducting or disconnected; a reverse flow prevention element that is connected in series to a current path including the primary coil, so as to prevent backflow toward an input side; a rectifying unit that is connected to a secondary coil; and a smoothing unit that includes at least one reactor and a smoothing capacitor, which are each connected to the rectifying unit, wherein the forward-flyback insulated switching power supply is structured such that a flyback current is outputted from the secondary coil via a bypass current path that does not include an element having a reactor characteristic.
