Disclosed is a four-connecting-rod damping groove armrest opening and closing mechanism with a latch. The mechanism comprises a main frame and an armrest assembly arranged on at least one side of the main frame. The armrest assembly comprises a supporting plate and an armrest part. The main frame and the supporting plate of the armrest assembly form an opening and closing connection by means of a four-connecting-rod assembly. The four-connecting-rod assembly comprises a first steel frame, a second steel frame and two connecting rods. Two ends of the two connecting rods are rotatably connected to the first steel frame and the second steel frame, respectively. A damping positioning assembly is further included to connect to and act in concert with the four-connecting-rod assembly. A latch assembly is further arranged between the main frame and the armrest assembly. The mechanism is simple in structure, enables the massage chair armrest assembly to open and close relative to a massage chair main body, and provides damping positioning and locking effects when the armrest assembly opens and closes. The mechanism is relatively convenient to use and improves the experience of using massage chairs.
