Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a technology with which a video/audio signal and a control signal can be transmitted via a connector even when the vertical orientation of the connector is reversed. [Solution] Provided is a frame generation device that is provided with a first frame generation unit, which generates one or more video/audio frames from a video/audio signal according to a format that uses a prescribed data volume as a frame unit, and a second frame generation unit, which generates one or more control frames from a control signal according to a format that uses, as a frame unit, the same data volume as the prescribed data volume.
