Abstract:
Provided are a frequency multiplier oscillation circuit which can have a compact size, effectively suppress spurious noise such as a fundamental wave, and output a desired multiplied wave. Also provided is a method for multiplying a fundamental wave. The frequency multiplier oscillation circuit has an oscillator (1), a multiplier (2), and a fundamental-wave component removal unit (4). The oscillator (1) outputs a fundamental wave. The multiplier (2) multiplies the fundamental wave and outputs the multiplied wave. The fundamental-wave component removal unit (4) removes a fundamental-wave component, which is included in the multiplied wave, in accordance with the fundamental wave that is output from the oscillator (1) and outputs the multiplied wave to an output terminal (3b).
