Abstract:
A friction transmission device 100 comprises: an input raceway ring 14; a planetary rolling element 20 placed around a rotation axis of the input raceway ring 14 and brought into contact with the input raceway ring 14; an output raceway ring 30 brought into contact with the planetary rolling element 20 and coupled to an output member 32; and a first support raceway ring 26 and a second support raceway ring 28 brought into contact with the planetary rolling element 20. At least one of the input raceway ring 14, the output raceway ring 30, the first support raceway ring 26, and the second support raceway ring 28 is a protrusion-recess contact raceway ring brought into contact with the planetary rolling element 20 through protrusions and recesses.
