Abstract:
This power transmission device includes a first motion member that has an N count of first contact faces 42, and a second motion member that has a plurality of second contact faces 46 that come into contact with the first contact faces 42. When one of high-speed rotary motion and low-speed rotary motion about a different rotational center is input, the first motion member and the second motion member can perform conversion into the other thereof and perform output thereof, by contact of the first contact faces 42 and the second contact faces 46. The first contact faces 42 form as a whole an arc shape that is convex toward a radially outward side with respect to a line connecting adjacent vertices of an N-sided polygon. The second contact faces 46 form as a whole a rectilinear shape. With a contact position of the second contact faces 46 with a middle of the first contact faces 42 as a middle of the second contact faces 46, at least one of the first contact faces 42 and the second contact faces 46 includes a convex portion 80 provided at a position offset from the middle of itself.
